The father of little Lola, tortured and killed on October 14, 2022, speaks for the first time about the drama and the consequences of the loss of their daughter on his relationship.
October 14, 2022, all French people were in shock upon learning of the horror that Lola experienced. This 12 year old little girl was tortured then found dead in a trunk, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. The main suspect in the murder is Dahbia B, a young woman described as highly dangerous with “a tendency towards manipulation as well as a perverse structuring of his personality trying to disseminate trouble and confusion in his interlocutor”according to experts.
More than a year after the tragedy, Lola’s dad agreed to talk about this traumatic event, at the microphone of RTL. Johan Daviet, explains his reasons: “I need to express myself, to unload all this, I’ve been dealing with it for a year.” Johan Daviet says that on the day Lola disappeared, he was working with his wife. As a reminder, the parents are caretakers of a building in the 19th. “That day, there was nothing special, my wife and I were working. She came back at lunchtime, then went back to college”he says.

But after school, not seeing Lola come back, her father first went to the school before going to the police station. This is how he finds himself viewing surveillance cameras with the authorities. “Indeed, I came across my daughter, at 3:27 p.m., in front of this other lady who was coming in,” namely the suspect Dahbia B. Later, it’s absolute horror when a homeless person finds Lola’s body in the common areas of the building. “The prefect arrives at the residence, something not possible (…). And there, I am told that my daughter has died. That it was found in a trunk.” Arrested by the police, Dahbia B. explains that she attacked Lola because she confused him with her mother, with whom she allegedly had an altercation.
“My wife doesn’t know her. From the moment you kill someone, you can only be mad.” analyzes Lola’s father. Very moved, he continues: “The truth is, she didn’t just destroy a child’s life: she destroyed an entire family.” Indeed, Johan Daviet says he is separated from his wife since Lola’s murder, then “that before that everything was going very well”. “Yet I love my wife, I will do everything to get her back”, he assures. Faced with such a tragedy, Lola’s dad admits to having sunk into alcohol.“I fell back into my demons, while I hadn’t drank for over three years. But who wouldn’t fall back into their demons? For now, I’m surviving. I’m waiting for justice to do its job.” concludes Johan Daviet.
