On her Instagram account, the youngest of Brigitte Macron’s children shared two photos to mark the start of the 2022 school year, with a photo of a school bag leaning against a wooden house, and another of her two children, dressed in jeans, back and accomplices, taking each other by the shoulders. “Welcome back to school everyone!” she wrote in the caption of these pictures, before quoting Hannah Arendt: “It should be clearly understood that the role of the school is to teach children what the world is, and not to teach them the art of living.” A nice philosophy for the occasion, which Tiphaine Auzière surely did not fail to share with her mother, who on Wednesday afternoons will be able to find her little habits, in particular a ritual that she maintains twice a week.

Last May, we learned that Brigitte Macron had for several years established a little ritual to spend as much time as possible with her grandchildren. “Every Wednesday and Friday afternoon is devoted to his grandchildren”said a source to Point of view. A confidence confirmed by Bertrand Meyer-Stabley in his book The Ladies of the Élysée : “She wants to keep a balance in her life, moments of intimacy with her family.” And obviously, despite her status as First Lady, the wife of Emmanuel Macron is absolutely determined never to deviate from this rule.
