This is very bad news that James Van Der Beek announced to his fans on Instagram on June 21. His wife, Kimberly, has just had a fifth miscarriage at 17 weeks pregnant, after being hospitalized in an emergency. A difficult ordeal to overcome: a few months ago, the mother had already lost a baby.

“After suffering a sudden and highly publicized miscarriage last November, we were delighted to learn that we are expecting another baby. This time, we kept the news to ourselves. But last weekend, once again, at 17 weeks pregnant … we lost the little soul that we were eager to welcome into this world "wrote the Dawson actor in a long text on the social network.

He took the opportunity to send a message of peace and love to his community: “We have to take care of each other. The world is suffering right now. There is denial, shocking things, insensitivity, anger – all the old patterns that we hold on to when deep trauma is exposed. And there are no words to alleviate this pain, to make the process less painful, or to resolve it quickly. But how do you get out of it? Well start by asking yourself: How can we take better care of each other? "

James Van Der Beek and Kimberly have been married since 2010. Together they have five children Olivia, born September 25, 2010, Joshua, born March 13, 2012, Annabel, born January 25, 2014, Emilia born March 23, 2016 and Gwendolyn born June 15, 2018.

After suffering a brutal, very public miscarriage last November, we were overjoyed to learn we were pregnant. This time, we kept the news to ourselves. But last weekend, once again, 17 weeks in … the soul we’d been excited to welcome into the world had lessons for our family that did not include joining us in a living physical body. • We rushed @vanderkimberly to the hospital by ambulance for another harrowing night of blood transfusions. And as I stood by, grateful for the good people who navigated the maze of regulations to save her life – but helpless to do much for the woman I loved other than massage her feet and try to keep her warm (with my #DWTS robe, ironically) – something kept running through my head, again and again, which I now feel compelled to share: • We've got to take better care of each other. • The world is in pain right now. There’s denial, shock, numbness, anger – all the old patterns we cling to when deep trauma is unearthed. And there are no words to ease that pain … to make the process hurt less or to solve it quickly. But the way out of it? Starts with an open, broken-hearted contemplation of this question: • How can we take better care of each other? • And to all the families who have gone through this … you are not alone. ?
