Hisense is banking on affordable giant TVs with its new 2024 range

We were able to see the best-equipped televisions (UXN series) from Hisense at CES in Las Vegas in January, including the giant 110-inch 110UXN which impressed us. A few days ago, Hisense also unveiled the rest of its televisions for 2024 with more or less high-end series and we are going to do a recap of the new features, because there are many of them. Hisense is therefore banking on increasingly polished Mini-Led televisions as well as less impressive, but also very affordable, LCDs, which allow you to equip yourself with televisions that go up to diagonals of 100 inches.

Our visit to Hisense with TVs all the way for 2024.

The UXN Mini-Leds with the most muscular technical sheets

Presented at CES, the UX series TVs promise to be the brightest models on the market with a peak announced at 10,000 cd/m2. If we suspect that this peak will be limited to a very small area and that according to our protocol, the result will be less bright, this range should offer an excellent viewing experience with cutting-edge technologies, nearly 40,000 backlight zones, good HDR rendering and a complete audio system. As these models are offered in XXL sizes of 85, 98 and 110 inches, you will have to pay a significant amount to buy them: the 85 inch costs €4,200, the 98 inch costs €8,000 and the 110 inch costs €18,000.

The Mini-Led U8NQ series for the high-end

To stay on more accessible screen sizes and prices, the U8N series will be available in diagonals of 65 and 75 inches, and should offer high brightness for HDR thanks to Mini-Led technology, although we will check all of this with measurements.

They are also suitable for video games with a refresh rate rising to 144 Hz and benefit from a real small soundbar at the front under the TV. With a price of €1,700 at release, the 65 8UN could quickly establish itself as very good value for money if the results of our tests are conclusive, to be continued… The 75-inch model will be available at a recommended price from 2300 € and the 65 inch at 1700 €.

The affordable Mini-Led with the U7NQ

Less bright and with fewer backlight zones, the U7Ns are logically worse off than the U8NQs, but they risk hitting hard with aggressive prices for Mini-Led. They keep the 144 Hz for gaming and will cost €1100 for the 55 inch, €1400 for the 65”, €1700 for the 75” and €3200 for the 100” model which will only be available in November under the reference U7KQ. Enough to afford a giant screen for the same price as a good 65-inch Oled. The image quality will not be the same, but if you prioritize screen size, the U7NQ may be interesting.

E7NQ Pro TVs for cheaper LCD models

For users on a tighter budget, Hisense offers an E7NQ series which does not benefit from Mini-Led technology and its advantages in terms of contrast and brightness. You will have to settle for a less bright QLED (LCD) panel with 800 cd/m² announced, but still refresh at 144 Hz for players.

In terms of price, we go down further with a 55” at €800, a 65” at €1000, the 75” at €1500, an 85” at €2000 and a 100” at €2600. Hisense is therefore asserting itself on the giant TV market with very affordable prices.

The different series will be available throughout the year, with the U7NQ and E7NQ Pro starting in early May. The U8NQs will arrive at the beginning of June and the more high-end UXs later at the end of the year. We will therefore begin testing as soon as possible to give you our opinion on these ranges and try to find the best value for money for the year from the brand.
