Hit Machine: Charlie and Lulu’s cult program back on W9

For years, the Hit Machine was a go-to for singers and bands. The show, which ended in 2009, will return to W9 for an evening.

For fifteen years, the biggest French and international stars have followed one another! In the 1990s and 2000s, it was a must-have show on the small screen. Thirteen years after its final judgment, the hit-machine will make a comeback… the time of an evening. Like years ago, viewers will be able to find the cult duo formed by Charly Nestor and Jean Marc Lubin alias Charly and Lulu at the helm of Génération Hit Machin. In this bonus, which will be broadcast on February 8 on W9, the hosts will relive the best moments of the show they presented from 1995 to 2009. From the Dôme de Paris, they “will welcome the stars who have made this show a cult program”, as announced by the channel.

And the musical nostalgia will be there. Because on the Hit Machine set, the stars of the 1990s and 2000s will ignite viewers. In the program ? The complete L5s, Larusso, Yannick or even Tragedy, Anggun, Willy Denzey, Garou and Pascal Obispo. Generation Hit Machine will also pay tribute to the boy bands that marked those years with Worlds Apart, Generation Boys Band, Chris Keller and Allan Theo. As a reminder, the mythical program was launched in 1994, on M6, with Ophélie Winter and Yves Noël at the presentation. The chain then appealed to a duo which will remain with the presentation of the emission until 2008: Charly and Lulu. After thirteen seasons, the Hit Machine stopped because of disappointing ratings.

Charly and Lulu: the still passionate duo of animators

In 2012, W9 tried to relaunch the Hit Machine. Without success. This television return, Charly and Lulu had been working on it for years. “Officially, I can say it, it’s true, the Hit Machine is coming back. It’s the first time I’ve said it, had declared Charly Nestor to Télé Star. It is out of the question to come back with the same show as in 2008, it has no interest. You have to give it a good brushstroke. We have to change everything, except the animators.” In 2018 on the Touche set not at my post, the host duo said more. “Charly worked all summer on a project. Everything is ready. A broadcaster and here we go” confirmed Lulu. It took four years for their dream to come true!
