Hit the star: These are Cathy Hummels' preparations

On Saturday evening, Cathy Hummels competes against Stefanie Hertel in "Schlag den Star". The influencer has prepared well.

The influencer and presenter Cathy Hummels (32, "Mein detour zum Glück") will compete against folk music star Stefanie Hertel (41, "Friends for Life") on November 21st from 8:15 pm on the ProSieben show "Schlag den Star" . She has now revealed how she is preparing for the duel.

"I've been watching 'n-tv' every day for at least a month and the 'Tagesschau' every evening. Of course, I've also made notes on a number of topics," explains Hummels in an interview with "Bild". Especially for knowledge games, such as the popular "embarrassing or cashing", it is important that they are well informed about world events. She also baked a "Kraft banana bread with chocolate and nuts" which she would take with her as food for the nerves for the live show. She does a lot of sport anyway, which is why endurance shouldn't be a problem.

"For a week my left eye has been twitching all the time"

The moderator is already very excited, which is "noticeable all over" with her. "My left eye has been twitching all the time for a week – that's because of the nervousness." At the same time, however, she is looking forward to the challenge. They "love to gamble" and are "already ambitious". She wanted to show the TV audience that "I can grit my teeth too".

Before that, Hummels had to admit on Instagram: "Folks, I'm happy, but to be honest: my ass is on the ice". You piss yourself "a bit", but will also fight "until you drop" and "give everything". Hertel made a confident impression on Instagram in the run-up to the show and showed a willingness to fight. Addressed directly to Hummels, she wrote about a preview clip: "Get ready for something".

As early as March 2020, Hummels should actually compete against YouTuber Dagi Bee (26) in "Schlag den Star". At the time, however, she had to cancel because there had been Corona cases in her family. Jasmin Wagner (40), alias Blümchen, stepped in at short notice. Hertel surprised ProSieben in 2019 in "The Masked Singer" in the panther costume, but dropped out shortly before the final.
