Again right-wing chats with the Hessian police

Again, officials of the Hessian police are being investigated. In addition to the allegation of physical harm, right-wing extremist chat groups are also part of the investigation. These are not the first cases of this kind – similar chats have been causing trouble for the past year.
The public prosecutor’s office in Darmstadt is investigating possible misconduct against several Hessian police officers. According to information from the “Frankfurter Rundschau” (“FR”), a chat group also plays a role. According to the public prosecutor’s office, the allegations of insult and bodily harm are at stake. The procedure is aimed at six people. According to the police headquarters in southern Hesse, evidence was secured and evaluated during searches at the accused. These included, among other things, a chat and various image files with a possible criminal background.
According to research by “FR”, one of the accused officials described his home address in the chat as “Wolfsschanze”. The term refers to the headquarters of Adolf Hitler during World War II. He also allowed himself to be photographed in offices with Hitler’s beard glued on, and he also circulated this picture. According to “FR”, other allegations are also made against the police officers in question, including improper handling of weapons and ammunition and bullying.
According to the police, four disciplinary proceedings were initiated against employees. As a result, three officials were relieved of their previous positions. Chat groups by police officers had already caused trouble in Hesse in the past. Several cases had become known in which right-wing extremist, racist and sexist content had been exchanged.
