It’s official: The streaming service Disney + has announced the start date for “Hocus Pocus 2”.
The first rumors of a sequel to the horror comedy “Hocus Pocus” (1993) already existed in autumn 2019. It is now clear when Bette Midler (75), Kathy Najimy (64) and Sarah Jessica Parker (56) will return to their roles.
The streaming service Disney + has the sequel “Hocus Pocus 2” announced for autumn 2022. The three actresses then play three witches again, the Sanderson sisters Winifred, Mary and Sarah.
Reunion meetings have already taken place
At the end of October 2020, the original stars celebrated a reunion. Together they called on their fellow US citizens to vote for the presidential election. In keeping with the style of their film witches, they also delivered a matching spell. In addition, a few days later on Halloween the trio could also be seen at the virtual charity event “In Search of the Sanderson Sisters: A Hocus Pocus Hulaween Takeover”. For this they appeared again as their characters from the horror comedy.
