Hoffmann Green renews its Ravate partnership until 2028 – 04/29/2024 at 09:42

(AOF) – Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies announces the renewal for a period of 4 years and the extension of its partnership with the Ravate group, a historic brand in Reunion and the Indian Ocean. Signed in September 2021, the initial contract is extended until 2028. As part of this partnership, the Ravate group will continue the purchase and distribution in Reunion, Mayotte and Mauritius of 0% clinker decarbonized cements under the Pro Cement 52.5N brand from Hoffmann Green.

The Reunion group will thus offer construction professionals and the general public, through more than 40 points of sale, the most carbon-free cement on the European market.

This renewed contract also includes the provision of Pro Cement 52.5N bulk cement to several ready-mixed concrete (BPE) plants in the geographical area served by the Ravate group.

This system will thus make it possible to supply a greater number of players in the region’s construction sector with concrete made from 0% clinker cement from Hoffmann, ranging from artisan masons to large construction companies.

The National Union of Quarry and Construction Materials Industries (Unicem) indicates that, after an initial decline in the second quarter, activity continues to deteriorate in the third quarter and records a decline as much in aggregates (-1.3 %) than on ready-mixed concrete (-0.9%). Over the first nine months of the year, the decline was 2% for the entire materials activity. Only tiles and bricks manage to show slight increases in activity.

The general outlook is deteriorating and recruitment difficulties and rising costs are the main sources of concern. Furthermore, Unicem highlights the difficulties in implementing the projects. Production of materials could decline this year by 3% for ready-mixed concrete (BPE) and 4% for aggregates.
