During State of Play on September 14, 2022, Sony revealed new information about Hogwarts Legacy: The Hogwarts Legacy. We got a unreleased trailer entirely dedicated to exclusive quest to PlayStation gamers. An exclusive that did not please Internet users at all when it was announced, a few hours after the launch of Collector and Deluxe pre-orders. To make it short: the potterheads who get the game on PS4 or PS5 will have additional content compared to other PC, Xbox or Switch players. There will obviously be no other way to obtain this exclusive quest and related bonuses:
- The quest with Madame Mason and the haunted shop in Hogsmeade
- An exclusive dungeon,
- A special cosmetic set
- A shop added to Hogsmeade

Sebastian Pallow and the Unforgivable Curses
Sebastian has quickly become a much-loved character since he was revealed as a classmate in the lengthy gameplay trailer back in March. This Slytherin charismatic yet hides a dark secret about his very dark heritage. In the summer trailer precisely dedicated to Sebastian’s quest, we see the player using one of the unforgivable spells : Pain. This spell therefore joins Avada Kedavra (which we see in the first trailer of the game) but what about the third? The Imperium Curse has not yet been shown but there is no doubt that it is there.
Either way, the quest for companion Sebastian will put you in those harrowing situations where no choice is easy. The blogpost reminds us, however, that this is a totally optional just like those of Natsai (Gryffindor) and Poppy (Hufflepuff). We are also told that Black Magic may be dark… Is it so evil when it saves lives?
A shop just for you at Hogsmeade!
If it’s not written in black and white that Penny is Cassandra Mason’s house-elf, it makes sense given the way she addresses her “mistress”. The mysterious PlayStation-exclusive Haunted Shop Hogsmeade quest is integrated into the storyline of the base game but will therefore only be available to PS4 and PS5 players. The objective will be to investigate the sinister secrets of this store that Mason wanted to sell out at top speed. Completing the mission, it says in the blogpost that then you will get your own shop where you can sell items and materials at cheaper prices than anywhere else, as well as a cosmetic set shopkeeper, a befitting outfit for the enterprising Hogwarts student.
More info on the Felix Felicis potion
In addition to this quest and the bonuses it offers, another PS4 and PS5 exclusive pre-order bonus will be given to players: the Felix Felicis potion recipe. This is a luck potion that will spawn additional equipment chests on the map play for a day. Of course, this is just the recipe and it will be up to you to concoct the liquid luck potion with the right ingredients.
As a reminder, Hogwarts Legacy will be available on February 10, 2023.
