In Hogwarts Legacy, spells are mainly used in combat and there are quite a few at your disposal. However, some are particularly suitable for fighting strong opponents.

Avada Kedavra as the ultimate spell
“Avada Kedavra” ensures that your opponent collapses dead immediately. This spell is particularly strong if you have previously learned the talent “Avada Kedavra Mastery” and have cursed the surrounding magicians with “Imperio” or “Crucio”. Anyone standing nearby when you curse a person will automatically get a Curse Mark, identified by the green X.

If you then cast “Avada Kedavra” on one of the cursed people, those who also have a cursed mark will also drop dead. If you also unlock various curse talents under the “Dark Arts” talents, you ensure that you also leave cursed marks with “Stupor”, “Expelliarmus” or other spells.
The catch with Avada Kedrava is that it comes with a cooldown of just under two minutes. However, you can reduce the cooldown to under a minute with the Focus Potion. You can get the potion from J. Pippin with enough galleons, or you can simply brew it yourself.
Other effective spells
If you reject the unforgivable curses – for example because you want to play a righteous witch or sorcerer – then you can also use some other spells that are very reliable, but don’t let the opponent fall over directly.

Among other things, the “Glacius” spell would be recommended, which ensures that subsequent damaging spells cause more damage. The decision whether to choose Confringo, Bombarda, or any of the other spells should be based on the talents you have chosen. Once you’ve learned Bombarda Mastery, you should primarily use this spell.
In order for the “Glacius” to be effective, you should have smashed the opponent to the ground beforehand. There are various combinations, but we recommend the combination “Accio-Descendo” or “Accio-Depulso”. With this, you already cause impact damage before the combination of “Glacius” and “Confringo”.
In combination with the fully developed Chinese chewing cabbage you then have a very effective combination against nasty trolls or similar opponents and without any magic spells that could bring you to Azkaban.
