Still scheduled for the end of 2022, Hogwarts Legacy: The Legacy of Hogwarts has shown itself more and more since the beginning of the year and, to the delight of potterheads. In addition to revealing to us new never-before-seen images and footage on the gameChandler Wood, the Community Manager, reassures fans by indicating almost every week that the RPG will be released this year on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and even Nintendo Switch.
Dumbledior: When Wizarding Style Matters
Although our dear Albus was only a child when the Hogwarts Legacy scenario took place, we could not miss this clever pun mixing Hogwarts and the world of fashion. Because yes, the clothing style of wizards is very important and the various trailers and teasers of the RPG have proven it to us time and time again. We had already had, for example, a preview of the new coats of arms of the students embroidered on their capes according to their houses, or even some images of the fashion and accessories stores available at Hogsmeade. In short, you can obviously customize your wizard or witch from head to toe to make something unique.
But what good is it to create the wizard of your dreams if the physics and in-game animations don’t follow? Fortunately, the Hogwarts Legacy Community Manager released a new little teaser for the game on June 13, 2022. The video is obviously very short, but it shows us how fluid the movements of the Hufflepuff witch’s robe are. The garment does not go all over the place and remains faithful to the movement of the young man.
A physics which had not yet impressed at the start
Remember the long gameplay trailer presented at the beginning of the year during a dedicated State of Play: of course, the graphics and animations were breathtaking and many fans did not expect such a level quality for the game developed at Avalanche Software. However, some passages were cold in the back. We think in particular of the scene in the classroom of Defenses Against the Dark Arts where we can clearly see that the hair of the characters is not correctly animated, or even when the player gets on his flying broomstick: the dress of the latter has great difficulty in following the movements.
Luckily, the title is still in development and these kinds of details can be corrected by spending extra time polishing everything. The never-before-seen teaser above shows us that the clothing physics are perfect.
