No Chamber of Secrets in Hogwarts Legacy
So, as we can read on a passage from the official artboot (via Reddit), one of the central pieces of the second book and film, the chamber of secrets, which we also see again during the great battle of Hogwarts, would not be in the game. We can, in fact, read that the initial idea was to set it up in the huge castle and make it a place in its own rightbut “ Unfortunately, there were too many difficulties with [la Chambre des Secrets] and it was decided that she would not be included. »
One of the reasons that pushed the developers not to incorporate it in the end is, in particular, the huge creature that lives there, the Basilisk. The studio did not want the player to think that it was possible to kill the Basilisk, when the latter is present a hundred years later, during the adventures of Harry Potter and his friends. Avalanche Software could have simply not introduced the reptile, but that could have been a small inconsistency with the lore.
If you are disappointed by this non-presence, rest assured, the world of Hogwarts Legacy seems rather large and you will have a multitude of famous places to exploreas we have seen in the various trailers.
