Hogwarts Legacy: Several difficulty modes will be offered for Hogwarts Legacy!

Following the State of Play on Thursday March 17, 2022, we know a lot more about Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacy. The 14 minutes of gameplay was an opportunity to see how the open world would behave, the kind of activities that can be done within the castle, some nice cinematics with colorful characters, which seems to be the main villains of the story, fantastic animals or fight scenes.

Hogwarts Legacy in hard mode?

If the precise release date has not yet been communicated, we know in broad outline what it will be possible to do or not on this Harry Potter RPG. Better yet, the blog post PlayStation associated with the conference as well as the Frequently Asked Questions of the official site revealed to us well more additional information. We know for example that the game will not have microtransactions and that it will be purely solo without online multiplayer or local coop.

We also learned that it will be available on Nintendo Switch, that it will be possible to choose your House and meet some emblematic characters from the saga! Last important information: the community manager, Chandle Wood, has confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy will have difficulty modes.

As a gamer, I appreciate when a game gives me a minimum of difficulty. So I’m happy to say that we’ve worked hard to ensure that the game’s combat offers depth and challenge for players who want it. Whether you’re playing for the story or want every move of your wand to count, the game adapts to your level with different difficulty options to let you play through it at your own pace.

What difficulty modes will Hogwarts Legacy have?

We don’t know exactly how many difficulty modes Hogwarts Legacy will have, but we can imagine this kind of thing inspired by other RPGs:

  • Story mode : no apparent difficulty, the character cannot die and the goal is simply to follow the scenario to make the most of it,
  • Easy Mode : the character can take damage and die but he has a large life bar and the creatures are easy to eliminate.
  • Normal Mode : ideal for those who want to both enjoy the story quietly and experience a few moments of startle when their character encounters difficult bosses to defeat.
  • Hard Mode : a good dose of challenge where the fights are particularly difficult. It will be necessary to farm for hours the resources necessary for the preparation of potions and the improvement of your equipment.
  • Nightmare Mode : this is probably where you should insert a reference to Elden Ring but, in general, this game mode is reserved for lovers of extreme difficulty. Repeating the dungeons several times in a row does not scare you and the slightest violent blow from a monster is certain death for your character.

Anyway, again, this is only theory as far as the different modes are concerned, but it is certain that Hogwarts Legacy will have different difficulties. As a reminder, the rpg is scheduled for the end of 2022 on all platforms.

You all spotted Nearly Headless Nick in the gameplay trailer, right? You’ll see he has other iconic characters from the Harry Potter saga in Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacy!
