(CercleFinance.com) – Holcim announces that it has completed the acquisition of Cowden Inc, an American leader in ready-mixed concrete and aggregates based in Bellingham, Washington, an acquisition which therefore extends the presence of the Swiss group in the Northwestern United States.
‘This acquisition is another step in our’ Strategy 2025 – Accelerate Green Growth ‘to become the world leader in innovative and sustainable building solutions,’ says Jan Jenisch, CEO of the building materials supplier.
With more than 100 employees, the acquired company has two ready-mixed concrete plants, eight aggregate facilities and a transport fleet. It will operate as Cowden, a division of Aggregate Industries Pacific Northwest.
