(BFM Bourse) – Holcim will leave the Paris Stock Exchange on December 30. By withdrawing from the Parisian listing, the Swiss cement manufacturer wants to simplify its trading structure and focus on its domestic market, namely the Zurich Stock Exchange.
The Swiss cement manufacturer Holcim, which merged in 2015 with the French Lafarge, will withdraw its shares from Euronext Paris at the end of December to simplify the trading structure by concentrating it on the Swiss stock exchange, he announced on Monday.
A voluntary sales facility procedure
The group, whose head office had been transferred to the city and canton of Zug, in central Switzerland, after the merger, will propose a procedure facilitating the sale of the securities, indicates Holcim in a press release, specifying however that the shareholders will have several options to keep or sell their securities.
The withdrawal from Euronext Paris must take place on December 30, details the group. This withdrawal will reduce administrative costs, as the main listing of the share is on the Swiss Stock Exchange.
Holcim recommends that shareholders who wish to retain their shares promptly contact their financial intermediary to verify the applicable conditions for trading on the Swiss Stock Exchange. The group has published a calendar detailing the various options for shareholders, in particular for those who hold pure registered shares who must contact the BNP Paribas bank.
The sale facilitating offer will begin on November 28 and will last until December 16. The last day of trading on Euronext Paris is scheduled for December 29.
After the merger, the cement manufacturer initially combined the names of the two companies to become LafargeHolcim. But last year, the group’s corporate name was simplified to become simply Holcim.
