With its attempt to found a holding company, the city of Klagenfurt wants to bundle company investments in the future. The city is currently directly or indirectly involved in 28 companies that have an annual budget of 28 million euros. There are different variants for a holding company. The holding issue has been under discussion for many years, and city boss Christian Scheider now wants to implement it: “There must be no bans on thinking, all areas must be examined intensively for reform potential that will help consolidate the city over the long term. No employee should fall by the wayside; the best possible solution has to be found for everyone involved. ”A total of 28 companiesMultiple areas are affected. Klagenfurt Holding should be wrapped up by 2023. “After the service law and the administrative reform, we want to implement the project,” announced Scheider. “It shouldn’t be a quick shot, we have prominent role models in Graz and Linz.” The holding company has 2,800 employees in Graz, and even 8,200 in Linz. “Of course, we mustn’t take the mistakes that happen at every holding company with us, but Klagenfurt is a large business group when it comes to holdings,” says Dumplenik.
