Enjoy relaxing hours on Easter days? The TV program offers a colorful mix of crime novels, shows and free TV premieres.

TV channels use the Easter holidays to offer viewers a wide range of films, shows and church programs. These are the highlights of Good Friday to Easter Monday.

Good Friday (March 29)

The current season of “Let’s Dance” pauses on Good Friday for a best-of. In “Let’s Dance – The Magic Moments of the Professionals” (RTL, 8:15 p.m.) the dance professionals will present their most beautiful, emotional and funniest moments from the past seasons. The “Let’s Dance” presenters Victoria Swarovski (30) and Daniel Hartwich (45) lead the show in which the professionals share their personal highlights with the viewers.

On Good Friday, Das Erste shows the film “Two heirs are one too many” (Das Erste, 8:15 p.m.). In it, ex-con Konrad Kühn (Peter Heinrich Brix) hopes to make quick money by selling a seemingly empty house on the Baltic Sea and pretends to be the sole heir. Mayor Flasskamp (Tom Beck) wants to get the deal with Kühn done quickly. But Clara Mensen (Katrin Röver) lives in the house and wants to prevent the house from being sold with her friend Valeska (Marion Kracht). Then Mensen and Kühn each learn a secret about each other that forces them to work together.

ProSieben is coming up with an action comedy that will be shown on free TV for the first time: In “Bullet Train” (10:30 p.m.), Oscar winner Brad Pitt (60) plays the unlucky hitman Ladybug. He is supposed to transport a suitcase full of money on a Japanese high-speed train and bring it to Tokyo. However, the mission gets completely out of hand because Ladybug has to deal with other killers on board.

Holy Saturday (March 30)

On Saturday RTL celebrates “40 years of RTL Comedy” (8:15 p.m.). Oliver Geissen (54) invites you to the birthday party and welcomes comedy guests such as Ilka Bessin (52), Chris Tall (32) and Mario Barth (51). “At the gala evening of superlatives, RTL celebrates comedy and looks back on the last 40 years,” says the announcement. Live performances, talks and games will round off the “colorful evening”.

“Die Gangster Gang” (original title: “The Bad Guys”) has a free TV premiere on Sat.1 (Sat.1, 8:15 p.m.). In the 2022 animated film, five animals form an unbeatable gangster gang. Their leader is Mr. Wolf and together they pull off one coup after the next. But then the criminal animals are caught during one of their raids. In order to avoid ending up in prison, the villains have to give up their gangster life and become law-abiding citizens, which is more than difficult for them.

“Schlag den Star” (ProSieben, 8:15 p.m.) is entering a new round. In this edition of the game show, comedians Kaya Yanar (50) and Paul Panzer (52) compete and have to prove themselves in a direct duel in up to 15 rounds. Fighting spirit, fitness, brains and skill are required. The winner will receive a prize of 100,000 euros. As usual, the show will be moderated by Elton (52), with Ron Ringguth (58) commenting on the events in the game.

Easter Sunday (March 31st)

The Easter holidays also traditionally include the program “Easter in Rome” (Das Erste, 10 a.m.). At the service with Pope Francis (87), he gave his blessing “Urbi et Orbi” and thus ensured a highlight of the church year. The Pope celebrates the feast of the Resurrection at the Easter service in St. Peter’s Square, which is decorated with flowers. Many pilgrims and believers attend the church service in Rome every year. Monsignor Erwin Albrecht and Elisabeth Möst commentate for ARD.

New adventure for Captain Parger and his crew: In “The Dream Ship: Phuket” (ZDF, 8:15 p.m.), this time the zoologist Dr. Annika Ehler (Maxine Kazis) and her wife Melly Sturm (Marija Mauer) spend their honeymoon on the famous ship. But Melly’s father Klaus, who suddenly appears on board, gets in their way. Meanwhile, beauty influencer Sophia Blum (Anna-Lena Schwing) has an unpleasant encounter with law student Cedric Rust (Rojan Juan Barani). But at Nelson Müller’s cooking class, she isn’t just impressed by his cooking skills. And what’s next for the crew? Max Parger and Martin Grimm want to kitesurf, but rely on each other to plan it. And Hanna Liebhold is accompanied by trainee Oliver Sander, who is supposed to learn from the organized employee. But now, of all times, Hanna’s misfortunes are piling up.

One of the most popular quiz shows celebrates Easter. “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? The Big Easter Special” (RTL, 8:15 p.m.) is shown on two evenings in a row. In the special broadcast, Günther Jauch (67) welcomes eight candidates to the selection round. Everyone who makes it to the guessing chair will receive an Easter present with a Joker surprise. During the quiz rounds, it can give you the decisive advantage.

Free TV premiere with Jennifer Lopez (54) and Owen Wilson (55): In “Marry Me – Married at First Sight” (Sat.1, 8:15 p.m.) Kat Valdez celebrates success as a singer. But things aren’t going so well in her private life: her supposedly great love breaks up shortly before a concert. Without further ado, she decides to marry a strange man from the audience. The math teacher Charlie Gilbert gets involved in the special experiment. The two get to know and love each other after the wedding.

Easter Monday (April 1st)

A dating format is also traditionally a must at Easter: “Farmer Looking for a Woman – What’s going on on the farms?” (RTL, 7:05 p.m.) the popular farmers of the dome show will once again be the focus. Moderator Inka Bause (55) will find out what happened after her last visit to the farms and how the former candidates designed or even rearranged their lives. RTL promises: “A lot has happened on the farms! Inka Bause shows what exciting and wonderful news there is from the popular farmers of ‘Bauer sucht Frau’.”

The “Tatort: ​​Fear in the Dark” (Das Erste, 8:15 p.m.) ensures a perfect crime evening on Easter Monday. The Bremen investigators Liv Moormann (Jasna Fritzi Bauer) and Linda Selb (Luise Wolfram) are faced with a micro-adventure that turns into a horror experience for the friends Ayla Ömer (Pegah Ferydoni), Viola Klemm (Sophie Lutz) and Marlene Seifert ( Inez Bjørg David). The three tried to find their way back home from the deep forest without any technical aids. However, the neighbors get lost in the forest that night, and the next day one of them is dead. In the case involving the women from middle-class Bremen-Schwachhausen, the investigators come across many inconsistencies and several suspects.
