The waiting time was at times two hours and thirty minutes, as reported by the TCS traffic service.

On Sunday afternoon there was also traffic congestion in front of the Gotthard south portal. The cars backed up between Quinto and Airolo at times over a length of five kilometers. The time lost was 50 minutes.
