“Home Alone” star Macaulay Culkin: He gets a star in Hollywood

More than 30 years ago he was all alone at home, Macaulay Culkin, 43, was on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but now surrounded by colleagues and his loved ones, when he was honored with his own star. His on-screen mother Catherine O’Hara, 69, explained how proud she was of him.

The 2,765 star belongs to Macaulay Culkin

The US actor, who became a star at a young age with the cult comedy “Home Alone,” was honored with the 2,765 star on the Walk of Fame on December 1st. O’Hara, who played Culkin’s mother in the first two “Kevin” films, said during the ceremony: “‘Home Alone’ was, is and always will be a beloved, worldwide sensation.” The reason why families all over the world watch the first part every year is because of Culkin. He delivered a “perfect performance” – and even though she knew he worked hard for it, he made it seem as if “acting was the most natural thing in the world.”

“I’m so proud of you,” O’Hara concluded, addressing Culkin, who earned his star on the Walk of Fame. After a hug, the actor wiped a few tears from his face and was followed by a humorous speech from his colleague Natasha Lyonne, 44.

Also present were the actor Seth Green, 49, and Paris Jackson, 25. Culkin is the godfather of Michael Jackson’s (1958-2009) daughter. And his family couldn’t be missing either: Culkin’s sister Quinn, 39, his brother Rory, 34, his partner Brenda Song, 35, and their two sons.
