Goms is the fifth Swiss World Cup organizer in cross-country skiing, alongside Davos, Val Müstair, Lenzerheide and Engadin. The races in Valais are not a premiere. The entourage already stopped in Goms in 1993 and 2000. With the hosting of the Nordic Junior World Championships in 2018 and the expansion of the Nordic Center in Ulrichen, which has been shining in new splendor since last year, the location in the Upper Valais is once again recommended for international competitions at the highest level.

Between Friday and Sunday there are 3 races on the program: a mixed relay, a skating sprint and a skating mass start race over 20 kilometers. Unlike 1993 and 2000, this year the Swiss also want to have a say in the top spots.
