  • Former US President Jimmy Carter no longer wants to be treated in the hospital.
  • After several hospital stays, the 98-year-old wants to spend the rest of his time with his family and be cared for at home.

This is announced by the Carter Foundation, founded by the former President, on Twitter. Accordingly, the 98-year-old decided not to seek any further medical treatment.

Instead, he wants to spend the rest of his time at home with his family.

Oldest living ex-US President

Carter is the oldest living former President of the United States. The Democrat was elected president in 1976 and remained at the head of the country for one term. His successor was Ronald Reagan.
