Homemade ice cream for children Sage

The sunny days are back, and with them the cravings for ice cream and sorbets. To avoid commercial products stuffed with sugar and additives, Sage offers a self-contained ice cream maker capable of preparing various types of frosted sweets.

The expertise of the manufacturer of small household appliances Sage is no longer limited to semi-automatic coffee machines with grinder or multicookers. With the Smart Scoop ice cream maker, the Australian adds a string to his already well-stocked bow.

The Smart Scoop is an autonomous ice cream maker (we also speak of an ice cream maker) capable of producing cold. Unlike cold storage ice cream makers, it is therefore not necessary to place the container in the refrigerator for hours before use. Consequently, it is possible, theoretically, to chain the preparations in a fluid manner, without having to wait long hours for the tank which contains the mixture to be operational again. The other side of the coin, the ice turbines are much larger. The Smart Scoop, for example, measures 39cm long by 26cm wide and 23cm high.

Another advantage of the Smart Scoop (far from being the only autonomous ice cream maker on the market), it facilitates the preparation of several types of ice cream, which range from frozen yogurt to Italian ice cream (gelato) via sorbet or ice cream. In addition to the ingredients, it is above all the texture and therefore the density that differentiates the recipes and the Smart Scoop automates the preparation of each of these specialties. In fact, simply turn the adjustment wheel to the left to obtain a soft paste, ideal for a fruit syrup (like that of sorbets) or to the left to be able to freeze the fresh cream necessary for the firmer texture of chocolate or vanilla ice cream. However, it will take a few tries before finding the perfect setting, since Sage has provided 12 levels of adjustment, even if the manufacturer emphasizes the presence of an automatic mode. The Sage Smat Scoop also has a pre-cooling function to prepare it for use beforehand, but also a “keep cool” mode (keep cool) to keep the ice cream at the right temperature before storing it. or taste them (3 hours maximum).

All settings are made from the control panel on the top of the machine. In addition to the wheel and the various keys used to configure the Smart Scoop, a digital display with segments makes it possible not to get too lost in the settings. It should also be noted for those with a sweet tooth that the stainless steel container can prepare a liter of ice cream.

The autonomous Smart Scoop ice cream maker is already available for 420 €.
