While last Sunday’s meeting between Paris Saint-Germain and OM was marked by homophobic chants sung in the stands, four players from the capital club were summoned by the LFP disciplinary committee. They will be heard at the next committee meeting on October 5.

Paris SG and its players Ousmane Dembélé, Achraf Hakimi, Randal Kolo Muani and Layvin Kurzawa are summoned by the LFP disciplinary committee, the latter announced on Wednesday, after homophobic chants sung during PSG-OM on Sunday. The Parisian club and its four players will be heard at the next committee meeting, Thursday October 5.

An insulting celebration

On Monday, the interministerial delegate for the fight against racism, anti-Semitism and anti-LGBT hatred, Olivier Klein, relayed a video of around thirty seconds in which we can hear PSG supporters singing homophobic chants at the against the players of the Marseille team, saying he was “very shocked” and demanding “sanctions”.

Four Parisian players, the French internationals Kolo Muani, Dembélé and Kurzawa as well as the Moroccan international Hakimi, were filmed singing an insulting song towards the Marseillais during the group celebration on Sunday evening in front of the Auteuil stand, after their 4-0 victory. PSG had indicated that the club “condemns all forms of discrimination, in particular homophobia, and would like to point out that they have their place neither in stadiums nor in society”.
