Honda formalizes its Prologue, its very first 100% electric SUV.

Developed from the Ultium platform, from General Motors, this new model is guaranteed zero emissions.

An SUV with an imposing design

Already present on the electric car market for many months now with its little Honda-e, the Japanese manufacturer is lifting the veil today on the Prologue. It is obviously a new electric vehicle that takes the form of an SUV, developed from General Motors’ Ultium platform.

With its size slightly more imposing than that of a CR-V, fitted with wide 21-inch rims, the Prologue moves away somewhat from the stylistic codes of the small Honda-e to approach those… of a Range Rover Evoked.

Touch on board, but not only!

On board, there is obviously an interface that gives pride of place to digital, which is reflected here by an 11-inch screen located behind the steering wheel, and a second as a central console, 11.3 inches.

However, Honda does not ignore its good old physical buttons (for the air conditioning in particular). This is a good thing when you know the impact on the safety of vehicles delegating all functions to the touch screen.

On the engine side, the Honda Prologue will be driven via two electric blocks whose power is not yet known and equipped with all-wheel drive. Same battery side: Honda has obviously chosen to spare the suspense on this subject.

Honda says its new Prologue SUV will launch in the US sometime in 2024 and will be the first in a long line of zero-emission cars. Like many car manufacturers, the Japanese manufacturer is beginning its electric shift and has already confirmed its desire to launch no less than 30 new vehicles in this branch by the year 2030.
