Honor 200: we know the launch date of smartphones in France


The French VivaTech show was an opportunity for Honor to say a little more about the international marketing of the Honor 200. While the officialization of this new series of high-end smartphones will take place on May 27 in China, the CEO of the brand, George Zhao, has confirmed a French launch event just before the start of summer.

More precisely, Honor has set its meeting at the ParisLongchamp racecourse, located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, on June 12, 2024 at 3 p.m.

Incidentally, the company specifies that the Honor 200 will run under MagicOS 8.0, the overlay based on Android 14. The latter is currently reserved for the Magic 6 Pro, which gives pride of place to artificial intelligence.

This event was an opportunity for Honor to detail its “four-layer AI architecture” which includes cross-device and cross-OS AI, platform-level AI, application-level AI and cloud-level AI. As such, and with the aim of To power its AI services in the cloud, Honor announced that it had entered into a partnership with Google Cloud which aims to “integrate generative AI experiences into its next smartphones”.

Moreover, Honor teased the AI ​​functions of the Honor 200. As part of a photo partnership with Harcourt Paris, the brand unveiled during VivaTech the reproduction of a portrait of the studio taken by the Honor 200 Pro using artificial intelligence.

According to a recent rumor relayed by GSMArena, the Honor 200 and 200 Pro would have a 50 Mpx main sensor with optical image stabilization; a 5200 mAh battery compatible with 100 W fast charging; or a telephoto lens with x50 digital zoom.

As a reminder, Honor has already launched the most affordable model in the range, the Honor 200 Lite. It has been available in France since May 16 at a price of €329 in its 8/256 GB version.
