Good news for those looking for an affordable smartphone with a big battery, Honor has just launched its new X7a from just €239 in France.
While all eyes are currently on the high-end Honor Magic 5 which will be launched during MWC 2023 in Barcelona at the end of the month, the smartphone manufacturer has just presented to us a brand new entry-level device, which relies on its autonomy.
The Honor X7a is far from offering the most powerful technical sheet in its segment. It is powered by a Mediatek MT6765H Helio G37 chip, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. At the level of the screen, the smartphone is satisfied with a 6.75-inch IPS LCD panel with only HD+ definition (720 x 1600) and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. We are therefore far from what we find in the competition, but these rather modest technical characteristics have a major advantage: the autonomy promises to be exceptional.

To power the device, Honor has opted for a 5330mAh battery, which represents a slightly higher capacity than the average found in smartphones of the same size. The battery is compatible with the 22.5W wired fast chargingwhich is also less than most of its rivals.
However, thanks to the combination of a battery with a large capacity and energy-saving components, Honor promises that its smartphone is the most enduring on the market. This statement has also been verified by DXOMARK experts, who ranked it first in their “Battery” ranking. The smartphone would have reached an autonomy of 3.5 days, and a recharge in 2 hours and 20 minutes.
On the photo side, note that the smartphone relies on a four-camera setup, with a 50 MP main module, a 5 MP ultra wide angle lens, a 2 MP macro and a 2 MP depth of field camera. As always, we would have liked to see a better ultra wide-angle sensor, and the removal of the other two sensors.
In terms of availability, Honor announces that the X7a is available today at the recommended price of 239 euros in three colors : Titanium Silver, Ocean Blue and Midnight Black.
