The Honor Magic 6 Lite 5G is officially here, at least in Italy. It is undoubtedly the precursor of an entire Magic 6 range which will be unveiled in 2024.
Honor recently made its brand new smartphone official in Italy, the Honor Magic 6 Lite 5G (which follows the Magic 5 Lite). This device, however, does not yet have a release date or price announced. It has only been confirmed for the Italian market for now.
The Honor Magic 6 Lite 5G is the international version of the Honor X9b, already available in China. This model inherits many of the features of the X9b, but is distinguished by a notable difference in terms of battery: the Moreover, this Magic 6 Lite is the first smartphone in an imposing range from Honor, later including Standard, Pro and Ultimate modelswith the possibility of an exclusive Porsche Design Edition variant.
A solid technical sheet despite the name Lite
Let’s focus on the features of the Magic 6 Lite. This smartphone sports a 6.78-inch Amoled screen, offering Full HD+ definition (1200 x 2652 pixels) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. A strong point of this device is its robustness, thanks to an SGS (ROHs) certified screen ), and a shock-absorbing material with one-micron pores, capable of significantly reducing the impact in the event of a fall. Here, it’s the marketing that may have failed, but we can verify that.
Aesthetically, the Magic 6 Lite will be available in three colors: Emerald Green, Midnight Black and Sunrise Orange, the latter being in vegan leather. The smartphone is equipped with a 5,300 mAh battery supporting 35W fast charging. Under the hood, the Magic 6 Lite is powered by a processor Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, revealed by Qualcomm last year. It is supported by 8 GB of RAM, expandable up to 16 GB thanks to the Turbo RAM functionality (virtual memory), and includes internal storage of 256 GB in UFS 2.1. For photography, it has a 16MP front camera and a set of three rear cameras: a 108MP main sensor (f/1.75), an ultra-wide-angle and a 5x depth sensor. Mpx, as well as a 2 Mpx macro camera.
The Magic 6 Lite runs MagicOS 7.2, based on Android 13. With dimensions of 163.6 x 75.5 x 7.98 mm and a weight of 185 g, expect a far from compact smartphone.
The question remains, however: when will the Honor Magic 6 Lite 5G be officially available in France? At the moment, we don’t know.
