The Horizon saga will soon welcome a third game: Call of the Mountain. This is a spin-off exclusively dedicated to PS VR2. We were able to discover an impressive first gameplay video during the State of Play. The Gerrilla studio has also unveiled a major patch for Horizon Forbidden West.
During tonight’s State of Play, Sony announced a new game set in the Horizon universe. This is not a third part, but from a spin-off dedicated to PS VR2. It’s called Call of the Mountain.
Call of the Mountain will be a VR game, therefore in the first person. The player will embody Ryas, a prisoner in search of redemption. He will have to begin a great journey during which his climbing and combat skills will be put to the test.
Horizon Call of the Mountain is coming to PS VR2
The trailer unveiled by the Gerrilla studio shows us a technically impressive game. The player will be literally immersed in this post-apocalyptic world where nature has taken over. Furthermore, the VR aspect seems completely game-changing, whether at the level of the discovery of the environments… or the fights against the gigantic enemies.

At the moment, Call of the Mountain does not have a release date. It should happen at the same time as PS VR2. A big launch game to help Sony sell the new version of its virtual reality headset. We shouldn’t be able to play it until 2023.
Guerrilla also took advantage of the State of Play to announce the arrival a major patch on Horizon Forbidden West, him already out for a few months. Players can now enjoy a New Game+ mode, a better looking Performance mode for PS5 and PS4 Pro, a transmog tool (to change the look of their gear) and the ability to reset skills . This patch is already available for download.
Sony’s State of Play was also an opportunity for the manufacturer to give Final Fantasy 16 news, but also to announce the upcoming arrival of Marvel’s Spider-Man on PC or Resident Evil 4 Remake
