Horizon Forbidden West Adds VRR Support With Update 1.17 – Horizon: Forbidden West

Since its official release at the beginning of this year 2022, Horizon Forbidden West has benefited from a real follow-up from the developers at Guerilla Games. At the beginning of June, thanks to the 1.14 update, players were able to discover New Game+, a new difficulty mode and many other elements. But Guerrilla Games does not intend to stop there.

Indeed, Horizon Forbidden West has just received a new update. It’s about patch 1.17, available now on relevant gaming platforms. This update not only brings patches since it also introduces new graphics options on PS5. Thanks to this patch, players with compatible screens can now take advantage of the Balanced display mode (40 frames per second), Variable Refresh Ratealso known as “VRR” (dynamic resolution at 60 FPS), and High Refresh Rate (HFR) (for a framerate up to 120 FPS).

In addition, the developers took advantage of this update to fix some issues, including main quests, side missions, activities, machine behaviors, weapons, and more. The patch notes are quite substantial. If you want more information on this, know that you can consult the list of all the fixes made via this 1.17 update, on Reddit. Additionally, Guerrilla Games recently shared a trailer showcasing said new graphics options.
