Horizon Forbidden West goes Gold and reveals gameplay on PS4 Pro

If Horizon Forbidden West is understood as Sony’s first big cartridge for the year 2022, the manufacturer recalls that the continuation of Aloy’s adventures will be cross-generational.

Let adventurers and other open world enthusiasts be reassured: unlike most games (AAA or not) announced during the last 12 months, Horizon Forbidden West will indeed be on time for the appointment set by Sony. Indeed, the game has officially passed Gold, and will therefore be released as planned on February 18th. That changes us a bit.

What about the PS4?

And if the manufacturer intends to make Horizon Forbidden West the new technical showcase of the PS5, the very long handover between two generations of consoles and the capricious availability of the new generation will force more than one player to run the adventure on PS4 Pro… or on PS4.

The PlayStation Blog is therefore taking advantage of this good news to finally reveal some short sequences of the game on PS4 Pro, just to reassure players who have not yet changed bikes:

Over the past few months, we’ve introduced you to some of our brand new machines, as well as some of the territories and villages of the tribes that populate the world of Horizon, through footage captured on PS5. Today we bring you an exclusive look at the gameplay we captured on PS4 Pro.

Whether or not you are reassured, Horizon Forbidden West will be available on PS4 and PS5 on February 18, 2022.
