Like every week, SELL informs us of the ranking of the best-selling games in physical format in France. Here are the games that hit the shelves.
It may be June, but SELL’s accounting system is still a bit behind schedule. Today, we therefore make you discover the ranking of the best sales of week 20. This is the one that went from May 16 to 22, 2022. Unsurprisingly, Nintendo is still rolling over the competition. Quite hegemonically, Big N continues to squat the rankings with disconcerting ease. This week, the Kyoto firm therefore takes 4 out of 5 places in the charts, letting the second step of the podium slip away to a big Sony exclusive.
The gold medal therefore goes to Nintendo Switch Sports. it must be said that the successor to the Wii Sports series wins to be purchased in physical format. Indeed, the box contains the famous thigh strap which allows you to enjoy football in motion gaming. It is believed that the arrival of holidays and other holidays have decided some of the customers to go to this type of game.
The second position is the surprise of the week. Horizon Forbidden West makes its big comeback in the charts. I am told in the headset that the PS5 delivery schedule could be linked to this rebound. Indeed, many players have shunned the game in its PS4 version and are waiting to have the last machine to take full advantage of it.
The last step of the charts podium is for the stainless Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which continues to sell by pallets. Since its release, the title has continued to break records, since the game has sold 45.33 million units according to Nintendo (data from March 2022). Moreover, with such figures, we suspect that we are not ready to see a new opus coming out soon.
