Who says Meta Quest Pro says professional features. It is for this reason thatHorizon Workrooms gives you the ability to display a triple-screen personal desktop (requiring a PC or Mac) and, to a lesser extent,use sticky notes (memos).
You do not know Horizon Workrooms ? It is a software dedicated to productivity where you can use a computer and make video conferences using version avatars Meta. Whether in substance or form, Workrooms exudes quality and we are the first surprised, as well as those who said to themselves: “Me, a helmet all day, never! ” Like what, have Horizon in its name does not necessarily condemn the application in question to becoming “as empty as it is sad”.
In terms of updates, we will now be able to use the triple screen of multicolored post-its (which will not be erased once the application is quit). Let’s still measure the interest of the triple screen. If we can use two virtual screens when we are on Mac, it takes, under Windows, three real PC screens to use them in Workrooms. But why ?
The interest of VRof the’AR or mixed reality is to virtually create things that would be either complex to materialize or convenient to use. We find ourselves in the second case. Imagine taking your helmet and being able making triple screen without needing the proper hardware makes sense. But if we already have the equipment, why put on a helmet?
Note, however, that Meta clarified that virtual screens will eventually also be available on Windowsbut that multi-screen would not work in multi-user, just for solo use! You would have understood it, our good old instructors still have a bright future ahead of them !
