Horizon: Zero Dawn: Over 20 million copies sold

Sony has very large, world-famous licenses, such as god of war, Uncharted, Marvel’s Spider-Man, but also Horizon: Zero Dawn. Having benefited from very positive reviews from specialized editorial staff and a highly favorable reception from players upon its release, Horizon: Zero Dawn marked the year 2017. As the sequel to the adventures of Aloy now arrives in a few days, Guerrilla Games director and executive producer Angie Smets recently gave an update on the first game’s sales.

In a recent post on the PlayStation Blog, Angie Smets shared a new trailer for Horizon Forbidden West, the second installment of the license, due to arrive on February 18. He took advantage of this post to thank the players and fans. He also announced that as of November 28, 2021, Horizon Zero Dawn has sold over 20 million copies worldwide. This figure includes the number of sales of the game, both on PS4 and on PC. It’s a safe bet that this figure has since been higher as many have immersed themselves or re-immersed themselves in Horizon Zero Dawn, in order to be ready for Horizon Forbidden West.
