Hornet: Cyberpunk 2077 and BioShock veterans unveil a horrific PvE FPS in the era of time

Publishers and developers are laying off workers all over the place, but some employees are bouncing back. While we learned yesterday of the opening of Shapeshifter Games by former members of Volition, it’s another studio founded by industry veterans which reveals itself today with its first game.

Antistatic Studios was founded by Lukasz Ludkowski (Cyberpunk 2077), Kris Temper (BioShock), Gabriel Nordholm (Project Winter), Maciej Miksztal (Far from Home) and Michal Koltun (Conan Exiles). He is currently developing Hornet, a tactical and cooperative first-person shooter in PvE with a teaser above. Antistatic Studios plays the cardARG on the web with AnomaLeaksa fictional community which would have sent a team from Iron Corridor with members of the special forces of the Eastern Federation trying to contain a supernatural entity in a post-nuclear zone of Europe. The studio makes no secret of it, he is inspired by liminal spaces and urban legends for its shooter horrific militaryit smells good SCP and the environment with large red sheets in the teaser obviously recalls the Lodge from the Serie Twin Peaks. A letter of presentation is also signed D.F. Cooperundoubtedly another reference to the main character of David Lynch’s series, Dale Cooper.

Hornet will be A FPS in a procedural open world with dynamic events, several factions and entities for increased replayability and gameplay emerging, enough to already make the players salivate. However, we must be content with that for the moment, Antistatic Studios has not yet announced specific platforms or release dates.
