The officials of the immediate measures group don’t experience something like this every day: after a tip from the financial police, serious hygiene deficiencies were discovered in a restaurant in Brigittenau. In addition to cockroaches, the authorities also discovered other violations of hygienic standards. What was particularly worrying was the discovery of a sleeping area on site, which clearly violates building regulations. The health service (MA 15) and the building police (MA 37) were also present during the inspection. Mayor Michael Ludwig (SPÖ): “The diversity of catering establishments in our city contributes significantly to the quality of life of Viennese people.
