Horror: “At night, he comes to drink our blood”… This film will give you nightmares this summer!

The trailer for the horror film “The Last Voyage of Demeter” has just been unveiled. The feature film inspired by a passage from the novel “Dracula” by Bram Stoker will be released in theaters on August 23.

This summer, get ready for a scary journey! Inspired by a chapter of the literary work “Dracula” by Bram Stoker, The Last Voyage of the Demeter is the story of the crossing of the Demeter, a commercial ship on board which is very discreetly embarked, bound for London from the Carpathians, a cargo of unidentified wooden crates.

On board the boat, strange events do not take long to strike the crew who will have to try, during this disastrous crossing, to escape from a strange presence which night after night will hunt them down without pity. The wreck, a veritable ghost ship that ends up docking on the English coast is no more than the shadow of the Demeter, aboard which there is no longer a living soul.

The trailer for the feature film has just been unveiled and promises us a harrowing horror thriller.

Worn by Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton, 24 Hours: Legacy), Aisling Franciosi (Game of Thrones, Unforgivable), Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones, Clash of the Titans), David Dastmalchian (recently seen in The Croque-mitaine), Nikolai Nikolaeff (Stranger Things) and Javier Botet, the feature film is directed by André Øvredal already at the helm of Scary Stories and Chasseur de Trolls.

Javier Botet plays Dracula here, a winged creature that has little to do with recent versions of Claes Bang in the Netflix series Dracula or Luke Evans in Dracula Untold.

The Spanish actor is a regular at horrific creatures since he played Key Face in Insidious: The Last Key, Slender Man in the film of the same name, the crooked man in Conjuring 2 or the monster in Mama.

The Last Voyage of Demeter hits theaters on August 23.
