Horror on Steam: New Game wants you to give it back fast

A new horror game on Steam presents you with a strange challenge. The developers probably don’t want your money at all and are happy to give it back to you. You’ll need to be quick and fearless to do this.

Horror game on Steam is free if you are quick

Refund Me If You Can horror game is something special. Even with the name, the developer Sungame Studio presents you with a challenge. You shall the game play through in under two hours and then you’re welcome to return it. You will also get back the previously requested 3.99 euros.

But what is the horror game about anyway? According to the product description on Steam, you play as Sarah trapped in a nightmare maze. Euro’s task is therefore very simple: escape from the maze and do it not be eaten by the dangerous monster. There should be 100 different paths open to you, only one of which leads to the exit. The developer also sets a condition:

“By playing this game you agree to finish it before claiming a refund unless you are a coward”

Here you can see our tips for really good horror games:

Refund Me If You Can leverages popular Steam feature

Refund Me If You Can takes advantage of Steam’s general return feature for its special twist. Valve allows you to play any game returned without giving a reason, as long as you have not played for more than two hours and the purchase is no more than 14 days ago. So if you complete the horror game in under two hours, you not only get your money back, but also an achievement. If you take longer, it will automatically be blocked forever.

Many small developers are actually not big fans of the generous return policy. Players can still reclaim the money for short games and the developers get nothing. Refund Me If You Can obviously has no problem with that. From the pictures and trailers on Steam, however, it is also clear that you should not expect an AAA production with a complex story and multi-layered gameplay.
