Horror: This Yellowjackets reveal is being chased by Stephen King’s terrifying monster


On the occasion of the release of “Boogeyman”, based on a short story by Stephen King, a small focus on the young and promising actress Sophie Thatcher.

Adapted from a short story by the master of horror Stephen King, Rob Savage’s Croque-mitaine was released in theaters this week. The story of this horror film follows a high school student (Sophie Thatcher) and her younger sister (Vivien Lyra Blair), who recently lost their mother, become the targets of a terrifying entity preying on the suffering of bereaved families.

Born in 2000, Sophie Thatcher has had a passion for singing and theater since she was 4 years old. After attending the public high school in Evanston, Illinois, she headed for an acting education that allowed her to perform in many plays, such as Oliver!, Seussical, Anne Frank’s diary Or The Secret Garden. At the same time, she passes many castings.

After taking part in two short films, Sophie appears in the series Chicago Police Department and The Exorcist, where she plays a young version of Regan MacNeil. In 2018, the actress found her first role in a feature film with Prospect, the amber of the green moon, that of a teenager who, with her father (Pedro Pascal), travels through a toxic forest on a distant moon.

We then see her in four episodes of the medical series Chicago Med, as well as in the comedy-drama The Tomorrow Man led by John Lithgow and Blythe Danner. Sophie Thatcher also plays a larger role in When the Street Lights Go On, a series where a double homicide in a small town turns the lives of a gang of teenagers upside down.

In 2021, Sophie appears in The Book of Boba Fett, a spin-off series from The Mandalorian about the adventures of bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand. The same year, the American camped Nathalie (played in the present by Juliette Lewis), one of the teenagers forced to survive in the mountains after a crash in Yellowjackets.

At ease in horror, Sophie Thatcher is chosen in 2022 to play the heroine of Croque-mitaine, a horror film adapted from a short story by Stephen King. She plays Sadie Harper, a high school student whose mother has just died and who suddenly finds herself confronted, with her little sister, by a terrifying entity attacking families and feeding on their suffering.
