Actor Horst Janson can look back on an impressive career. In an interview, he reveals how to fully savor moments.

Horst Janson (85, “Frühling auf Immenhof”) looks back on an impressive career as an actor spanning several decades. He now reveals some wisdom to the pharmacy magazine “Senioren Ratgeber” – including how to fully savor moments and feel good all round.

It was never difficult for him to enjoy the moment, says the 85-year-old in an interview. However, it requires “a certain amount of experience” in order to “be able to savor moments, to feel really good”, he believes and explains that young people are “still too restless for that”.

That is the secret of Horst Janson’s happy marriage

Janson also reveals the secret of his successful relationship with Mrs. Helgardt Hella Ruthardt – the two married in 1982. The most important thing is “not to try to turn your partner inside out”, because: “Everyone is a ready-made person with his or her peculiarities, and he or she should keep them. You have to accept them,” emphasizes the cult star the “Sesame Street”.

Born in Hesse, Horst Janson became famous with TV and cinema hits such as “Salto Mortale” and “Die Buddenbrooks” and even played alongside Hollywood icons such as Tony Curtis (1925-2010) and Richard Burton (1925-1984). He has two daughters and now lives in Munich.
