Host Stphane Plaza targeted by investigation for domestic violence

An investigation into domestic violence was opened against the flagship host of M6 Stéphane Plaza after the accusations of two women, the Paris prosecutor’s office said on Tuesday, confirming information from Mediapart.

Two letters from women were received at the Paris public prosecutor’s office alleging violence committed by Stphane Plaza during (their) relationship, the public prosecutor’s office said.

The host formally contested these accusations.

His lawyers then denounced defamatory and insulting accusations. They had considered that Mediapart (had) acted as relay for three women who undermine the dignity of Stphane Plaza, and who are the subject of a criminal complaint that he filed (against them) for harassment and cyberharassment.

Following the publication of this article, the M6 ​​group announced that it had opened an internal investigation in order to bring to light certain points which had not been reported.

The audiovisual group did not wish to react to the announcement of the opening of the investigation and said it was waiting for the results of the internal investigation.
