NEW VEHICLE CATEGORIES AND NEW ENVIRONMENTS!
Continuing the legacy of the Hot Wheels world of speed and thrills, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged features more than 130 vehicles, including motorcycles and quads, that will make their debut in the game. drivers will know how to find the vehicle that suits them best! There will be something for everyone: the pure speed of the Rockets, the agility of the Fast classes, the perfect blend of maneuverability and power of the Balanced class cars, the precision and finesse of the Skidders, the majestic Ultra-Resistant classes and the recklessness of All-Terrains.
Each category of vehicle drives differently depending on its particular attributes as well as the racing surface. In Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged, the environment plays a determining role and you will have the opportunity to discover five new settings: a vintage arcade room, a backyard transformed into a racing arena, an atmospheric mini-golf course Wild West, a dinosaur museum and a gas station/restaurant.
COMBINE STRATEGY AND SKILLS
In Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged, victory won’t just depend on your speed! Indeed, the game introduces a new innovative skill system, transforming the race into a battlefield where you will have to demonstrate strategy. Improve the performance of your vehicles by investing skill points earned in racing. You can then choose between improving the boost, characteristics or resistance to obstacles.
The new gameplay mechanics also add a whole new dynamic to the game. Players can now use single or double jumps to overtake opponents, dodge obstacles, take shortcuts or hidden track sections. The new side dash allows players to move very quickly to the side but also avoid going out of bounds. These new features are in addition to the existing ones: boosting and drifting, offering players numerous approaches for each different scenario.
NEW GAME MODES AND A STORY-TIME CAMPAIGN
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged is enriched by new game modes, such as Elimination mode, where the slowest vehicles will be eliminated gradually, or Drift Master mode, where drift enthusiasts will be able to squeal their tires on the asphalt. These two game modes can be played in split screen, just like Waypoint mode, which will allow players to explore the game’s five environments, but also to discover its secrets. Two online modes will also be available in cross-play* (*cross-play is not available on Nintendo Switch): Grab the Gears mode, where players will have to try to collect as many gears as possible, and Clash Derby mode, which will be reserved for Monster Trucks and which will allow players to face their opponents by delivering the most powerful blows possible.
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged will also bring players back to the city. Darla and Robert, the protagonists, accompanied by their robotic assistant XR046, will be called upon to restore peace after a wave of creatures are accidentally released by Professor Tanabe. Players will be able to discover the personality of each character through animated scenes, immersing them in a narrative journey. This adventure will lead them into breathtaking battles with five bosses, with the goal of saving the city and its inhabitants!
CREATE YOUR OWN GAME!
A host of customization improvements await the Hot Wheels Unleashed community! A new sticker editor will be available, itself integrated into the editing module, allowing fans to create, save and share their own shapes and designs. A circuit editing mode will offer new modules to create the circuit of your dreams, or explore the creations of the Hot Wheels community. All community-created content will be accessible from day one (right now!).
