House of Commons delicacies – spot-on jumpers and dislocated shoulders

Bad Hofgastein has had an eventful game. Former ski jumper Resinger scored his first career goal. The team captain dislocated his shoulder himself during the game.

The regional football league team Bad Hofgastein finally has reason to celebrate again. The damage to the artificial turf pitch has been repaired and there was a memorable game at the weekend. In the autumn, the Pongauers parted ways with coach Achim Sametreiter. He now came to the second leg with cellar rivals Kaprun and was undefeated with his new club (which had finished last in the winter). “They then played against relegation and me, unfortunately we were toothless. This extra percentage made the difference,” he said, summing up the 3-1 defeat in his old hometown. Johann Rudigier – the sports student actually wanted to leave the club – became the match winner with two goals. “Fortunately he remained loyal to us,” beamed section leader Wolfgang Schaireiter. But the game was far from over. After Kaprun’s goal, ex-ski jumper Peter Resinger closed the bag with his very first goal. “The goal will be good for him, as well as for our community here,” Schairreiter is sure. Florian Jank gave special praise. The captain’s shoulder popped out several times during the game. “He put it back in place himself and played through it,” the section leader was amazed.
