“Give your dogs a kiss for me”
Here Guido Maria Kretschmer interviews Jared Leto for “House of Gucci”

At the premiere of “House of Gucci”, Guido Maria Kretschmer was able to talk to Jared Leto about his role. Here he brought us the whole interview – including a dog chat.
Guido and Gucci – they don’t just go well together by name. In fact, Guido Maria Kretschmer has been following the history of the brand for decades. That is why this opportunity was something very special for the designer – he was able to relive the story up close. Guido was not only there for us at the premiere of the new film “House of Gucci”. He was allowed to interview the two main actors in person!
At the cinema release, Guido Maria Kretschmer met Jared Leto for an interview. He immersed himself deeply in the role of Paulo Gucci for the film and touched Guido’s heart. But see for yourself – he brought us the whole video for the interview.
It was a dream
Even before the first interview question, the two found two things in common – because Jared Leto is at least as enthusiastic about Guido’s dogs as Guido is about Jared Leto’s comparison, he would just feel like a wax figure. After all, he could empathize with that when he was facing his newly revealed Madame Tussauds figure himself. After a first chat, however, things get down to business – the film “House of Gucci”.
“What was your first thought when you heard that you were playing in House of Gucci?”, Guido wants to know from Jared Leto. He admits: “It was a dream for me. I was thrilled to be able to bring the character of Paolo Gucci to life ”. Paolo was a very generous person, full of passion and humor – and with a very special talent for dance, as he adds with a smile.
People should be pretty shocked and surprised by the movie
“Paolo was a man who was rejected by his family all his life, they never accepted him or believed in him. But he had something to share with the world,” Jared Leto explains in an interview about his role Didn’t know much about the history of the Gucci family, least of all that it included a murder, “I think people should be quite shocked and surprised by the film – but also very entertained.” At least it was Guido – he was I was deeply touched by the acting around Paolo Gucci, as he tells Jared Leto. He himself remembered his own beginnings as a designer, what it felt like to present the first drafts.
My favorite look was the purple suit!
Speaking of drafts: In an interview about the new Gucci film, which is being conducted by Guido Maria Kretschmer, one aspect should of course not be missing. The fashion. That’s why Guido asks what Jared Leto’s favorite outfit was. “I think my favorite look was a purple corduroy suit,” he reveals and promptly receives approval: “I loved it!” Enthuses Guido. Then we would have found the third thing in common.
Guido then has to ask a question about a particularly intimate scene – what was it like peeing on a Gucci scarf, and that in front of the cameras? Jared Leto can only think of one word that he whispers to Guido conspiratorially: “Gatorade. I drank a lot of Gatorade.”
Whatever happened to the Gucci scarf, the scene should be quickly forgotten with this warm farewell: “Give your dogs a kiss and a hug,” calls out Jared Leto Guido Maria Kretschmer at the end and should be able to do so not only have conquered his heart.
