The Netflix series "House of Money" is getting replenished. But not in the form of a sixth season, but a South Korean remake.

With the Spanish series "House of Money", streaming service Netflix achieved worldwide success. Although the series will find its finale after five seasons, Netflix customers won't have to do without nerve-wracking heist action. As the company has announced in the meantime, work is currently in progress on a South Korean remake of "La Casa de Papel", the original Spanish title for "House of Money".

Director Kim Hong-sun ("The Guest") is responsible for the new edition, the location of the action will be relocated to the South Korean peninsula. The inventor and producer of "House of Money", Alex Pina (53), is enthusiastic about this development. Content from South Korea is now in great demand, especially among young viewers. "That's why I find it fascinating that the world of 'House of Money' is so appealing to Korean creators that they are producing an adaptation," Pina is quoted as saying.

The fifth and final season of "Haus des Geldes" is currently in production, the remake is only being planned so far. The first season of it will contain twelve episodes, more information will follow in due course.
