House of the Dragon: a second piece of good news for fans!

As production on House of the Dragon resumes, filming for season 2 will begin in the spring of 2023 in Spain.

We announced good news last month: the imminent start of production on season 2 of House of the Dragon. There is no doubt that fans of the series are eager to find the characters get to the heart of the matter with the famous Dance of the Dragons, the open war within the Targaryen family.

Good news completes the first. According to an article in the Spanish newspaper Hoy, the pretty town of Cáceres will once again be used as the setting to represent King’s Landing in season 2. The production of the HBO series plans to settle there next spring, from March to June, and filming is expected to take place around April and May.

In Game of Thrones, Cáceres was already used as a setting but to represent Old Town, which we will be able to see next season. This news comes a few days after the announcement of the biggest European event linked to the world of Game of Thrones, namely the convention “Cáceres, the city of dragons”.

Fans will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the universe of both series and attend medieval jousts, concerts and exhibitions of swords that will take place in the streets of the city.

House of the Dragon is available on OCS.
