House of the Dragon on OCS: an ultimate crazy trailer to rekindle the flame of Game of Thrones fans

HBO has unveiled the final trailer for House Of The Dragon, the first Game of Thrones spin-off. These latest images show the Targaryens coveting the famous Iron Throne. The series will be available in a month in France on OCS.

A month before its release on HBO in the United States and on OCS in France, the House of the Dragon series is unveiled with a final trailer that should convince fans of the first hour, even the most reluctant. This prequel to Game of Thrones is awaited at the turn by the public who hopes that this burning spin-off on the origins of the Targaryen family will be up to the task.

And this long trailer raises the temperature by plunging us back into the universe and the atmosphere – 200 years before – of Game of Thrones which thrilled the whole world. Because these images set the tone for what will be the major – and ultimately timeless – issue of House of the Dragon: who will gain access to the Iron Throne?

The list of suitors to succeed King Viserys I (Paddy Considine) is long since each protagonist of the prequel wants his share of power. There is her brother, Prince Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith), but also her daughter, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy), who reminds us of a certain Daenerys.

Rhaenyra intends to find a place in this world of men and be the first woman to access the Iron Throne. But she will have many enemies who will cross her path, and sometimes opponents who are closer and more ambiguous than she thinks.

On the side of the court, it scrambles to curry favor with the powerful and it works out schemes that would make Lord Baelish pale. Among the rest of the characters, we find the Hand of King Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans) and his daughter Alicent (Olivia Cooke) but also Maester Mellos (David Horovitch).

Finally, members of House Velaryon, house of Lamarck Island, the largest island in Nera Bay in the Crown Lands, will also play a big role, such as Lord Corlys (Steve Toussaint) and the Princess Rahenys (Eve Best).

The dragons will obviously be part of the series adapted from the novel “Fire & Blood” by George RR Martin which has already been renewed for a second season. The broadcast of House of the Dragon starts on August 22 on OCS in France.
