Scotland to Westeros: Graham McTavish, known to both Outlander fans as Dougal MacKenzie and William MacKenzie, has landed a role in the highly anticipated Game of Thrones spin-off House of the Dragon .

McTavish will play Ser Harrold Westerling, a knight of the Kingsguard who served under King Jaehaerys I Targaryen and retained his position when King Viserys I Targaryen took the throne. Ser Westerling, who is considered to be particularly honorable, is mainly concerned with accompanying Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and ensuring her protection.
