Household morale improves more than expected in January (Michigan)


PARIS, Jan 13 (Reuters) – The morale of American households has improved since the beginning of January, the first results of the monthly survey from the University of Michigan showed on Friday.

Its confidence index rose to 64.6 from 59.7, while economists polled by Reuters had expected a figure of 60.5.

The consumer judgment component of their current situation rebounded to 68.6 from 59.4 last month.
