“Household scenes”: Marion Game, the famous Huguette, is dead


A popular figure of the 1970s and 1980s, the actress who played Huguette in the hit M6 series died at the age of 84.

Ihe French cinema has lost one of its stars. The actress Marion Game died on Thursday March 23 at the age of 84. After a long career in theatre, television and cinema, the actress had an appointment every evening with the French to Scenes of householdswhere she played the character of Huguette for 14 seasons. Prior to this role, Marion Game was a familiar figure of the 1970s-1980s.

She died late Thursday afternoon at her home in the Paris region, said her daughter, Virginie Ledieu, also an actress. “It is in the tenderness and affection of her family that she left to join the stars,” she told Agence France-Presse.

This actress with red hair and a bubbly personality had played many supporting roles in theater, television and film. Marion Game regularly appeared in ultra-popular TV games of the 1970s and 1980s, The 8 p.m. Games on FR3 and The Academy of Nine on Antenna 2.

In the cinema, we have seen her in particular in The cry of the cormorant in the evening above the junks by Michel Audiard (1971) or Car park by Jacques Demy (1985).

On TV, she has played, in particular, in The Tiger Brigades (1975), girl (1981) or, more recently, More beautiful life (2010-2012).

She was also active in dubbing, and had, among other roles, been the French voice of Jane Kaczmarek who played Lois, the mother of the young hero of the series. Malcolm (widely broadcast on M6) but also that of the character of Phyllis Van de Kamp, Bree’s mother-in-law, in the American series Desperate Housewives.

Since 2009, Marion Game played the role of Huguette, who constantly bickered with her husband Raymond, played by another very popular figure of the 1970s-1980s, the mustachioed Gérard Hernandez, in Scenes of households. A series that brings together some evenings up to 5 million viewers. The actress was delighted to see her character and that of Raymond widely acclaimed by the public. Already, last January, the actress was not part of the special prime time concocted by the chain.
